Post-Festival Blues
Isn’t it wonderful,
and a little bit sad,
how music can bring two people together and,
in a matter of moments,
have them embrace, connect, unite,
only to let go again,
as soon as the music ends.
Isn’t it beautiful,
and a little bit mad,
how just one dance can leave a mark on one’s soul,
a thought in one’s mind,
a smile on one’s face,
only to be replaced by the next,
as soon as the music ends.
Isn’t it lovely,
not at all bad,
how synchronized movements can turn into rhythmic talks,
a “let’s stay in touch,”
a desire for more,
held onto through exchanged numbers and Instagram accounts,
as soon as the music ends.
